Good advice, right? I’m continuing to read a lot about minimalism and simplifying your life, and made great progress at home over the weekend. My clothing swap date is set and I’ve got four garbage bags of clothes to give away. It was embarrassing to see it all in bags, to see how much I don’t need but have. Anyway, onward!
Yesterday I took advantage of the 3-Day Minimalist Book Sale and encourage you to check it out through my affiliate link. The books are all electronic (no clutter, get it?) and you can read them on your computer or e-book reader at your leisure. It’s a really incredible value and I became giddy when I opened the zip file and saw all the resources at my fingertips. Seriously good stuff. I think I’m going to start with Un-Automate Your Finances.

lisasfoods - Love it. I’ve been jumping back into minimalism again lately too. While I haven’t gotten rid of much stuff lately, I’ve made a goal to avoid buying any new clothes until the end of the year. (Actually, I think I’ve only purchased one shirt and one pair of shoes all year.)
The digital book link sounds cool, but as much as I read blogs I just haven’t gotten into reading books online. I’m a library lover. (I know you are too!)
Jen - If I haven’t already recommended this, read Affluenza: The All-Consuming Epidemic. I had to read it for grad school…it changed my life.
whitney - Lisa – I am so impressed by the clothes thing. My biggest expenditure, by far. And I definitely prefer the printed page but have been coming around more to e-books. These books are only available electronically too.
Jen – thanks, I added it to my Goodreads to-read list!
Teresa - Affluenza sounds interesting. I had never heard the term before until this week’s episode of Castle. Funny that I should hear it twice in the same week, and from such different sources.
courtney - You are and continue to be my hero about this.
whitney - What a coincidence, Courts, because you are my hero too!
