There are a couple of details I’ve chose to keep private but 95% of what I’m working on this semseter is reflected in the document I’ve shared here.
I’ve already started in on some of the assignments, projects, and reading, and am looking forward to the rest of the “semester” ahead of me. As I state in the syllabus, I’ll be checking in here with an update every month.

Lisa Fine - lisasfoods - Love this, Whit, and think you’ve covered so many ways to reflect on your path.
I also love that you’re pursuing photography and writing more, since they’re such big passions of yours (and you’re talented at them).
Going to email you a photographer friend’s details, if you’re interested. Looking forward to your updates.
Teresa - I love your syllabus. What a great idea. Thoughtful and totally manageable. I can see it producing interesting insights and forward movement for you.
I read The Happiness Project last year. If you want to discuss it when you’re done I would love to chat about it over coffee. Think of it as taking class outside for a day!
I am looking forward to our yoga excursion in February. You will love Healing Waters. I am glad to think I am helping you toward an important goal, in addition to spending some quality time with a wonderful friend.
whitney - @Lisa – thank you! It feels good to make these goals more intentional and to share them, keeps me accountable. I’ve been building up the syllabus for a couple months now and even doing that resulted in me purchasing and learning Lightroom. And thanks for the info about your friend, I’ll email you soon!
@Teresa – thanks, lady. I would love to discuss the Happiness Project when I finish it. I’ll try to have it done before our yoga date!

brynn - I just love this. I love the planning of the syllabus and the public domain you’ve chosen to display it in – that’s a way to stick to it. It’s also so frightening, in some ways, while still being exciting. Now everyone knows, so you mustn’t ignore it! Very inspiring my friend.
courtney - You = AWESOME.
The writing and the photography parts make me so happy.
Julie - This is great stuff!
But there is no wedding planning on your syllabus? ; )
I checked the work of that photographer EIEIO that photographed Sean’s nephew’s birth…her work is awesome, you have a connection, she’d be great to shadow. I wish she could come to Montreal…but wait YOU can! Let me current and future family members be your guinea pigs! I had such a horrible experience at Sears! Yucky!
ka - i did it! i posted mine : http://discerningdilettante.blogspot.com/2011/01/2011-syllabus-acceptance-action-and-art.html
i am already well into the content, and had a bunch of stuff written down, but i had no idea how to organize it, so as you can see, i blatantly ripped off yours!
it’s funny how many of our reading choices are the same! would be happy to discuss any of them when you’re done. i haven’t decided on the order yet, but i should get to it.
